CES 2012 Product Find #2 : Sony Bloggie Live HD Camera

We first found out about the new Bloggie camera at CES when our friend Lori Cunningham, blogger extraordinaire from Well Connected Mom, stopped by our booth to show us how the Sony Bloggie she just got at a CES press conference would be the perfect match for her XShot camera extender.

OK the Flip is gone and a lot of people use their smartphones to shoot videos nowadays, but this camera is pretty special : it is HD and it allows you to Live stream your videos over Wi-Fi. You can even receive some short messages while shooting thanks to a chat function with Qik, a Skype service. The Bloggie is a great tool for bloggers and vloggers as they can broadcast live from the device for about 30 mn per clip. More than you need for a vlog, interview on the go or podcast.

Just set up that new camera on the XShot camera extender and you are all set to record business and family events and share them live or not. You can use it closed as a steady cam or extended to get yourself in the frame and get any angles you need.

The Bloggie has a lot of nice features and is quite easy to use:

- Sleek stainless steel design with soft edges and a flat bottom

- Ability to upload and share wirelessly,

- Hi-Definition clarity and a 8GB built-in memory

- 3" touch screen

- Simple upload or charging with a built-in USB arm like the flip had, no extra cable needed that we could misplace…

- Front-mounted LED lamp/flash

- Retails for $250 and has been released in January.
