This thing is small and light and perfect to throw in your pack or stick in a pocket and go. The length, in my opinion, is perfect because it allows the shaft to still be fairly thick at the top which gives it a more solid overall feel. The wrist strap is going to come in handy at times and the grip feels nice in the hand. Overall the head on it is nicely designed and is likely accommodating for several different cameras. The built in swivel/tilt head is very convenient as many monopods I looked at required an additional purchase for that.
This product is sturdy and can hold regular size digital cameras, etc. though not intended for DSLRs and those extra large camera. It is as simple as they come, just attach camera, or phone then set timer on camera, extend, smile, and enjoy the picture for years to come. Even fully extended, I never felt the pole wobble or feel like it would buckle. Extends far enough to get whole upper body in shots or, with proper angles, scenery. I did find it hard to get shots as wide as the pictures in the product description though, standing to the side was easy to see the wildlife/etc.
Overall, I think this is an excellent tool for better looking still-photo "selfies" rather than use as an action cam video camera monopod. If you're planning on swining it around a lot for action shots on video, I think the unit is going to start to have more play. But for occasionally taking a great selfie or getting an interesting angle on things with a still-photo camera, this is a great tool.
