Matthew Barrett traveled to Mexico in December and had some awesome scuba diving adventures. He managed to take this Picture of the Month and videos underwater with his XShot camera extender and GoPro, a perfect combo to get close and personal with the wonderful sea life without scaring them.

“I loved using the collapsible/extendable XShot 2.0 camera extender with the GoPro 2 camera while diving, it brought me closer into the reefs and sea life while keeping me still at a distance, like having longer arms! Very useful piece of equipment that attaches to any camera with a standard screw set. Also the XShot 2.0 with the GoPro 2 camera has negative buoyancy which is good because it hangs below you versus the normal cameras when attached to a D ring is constantly trying to float to the top and gets wrapped around your head! — with GoPro and XShot. I use the XShot in the sense that is lengthens my reach an I can get closer in shots without a danger to myself or the sea life. I do not use it to get myself in picture. I mainly shoot videos i will post some. The XShot works great because as humans approach the fish swim away, but with the XShot you stay a distance but can get close shots.” Matthew Barrett
